Set up your Anthropic key.
Good to know: A Claude Pro or Max subscription does not include API access. The Console is a separate account with its own prepaid credit, and cancelling one has no effect on the other.

Sign in to the Anthropic Console.

Open Plans and billing and add credit. The API draws down a prepaid balance rather than billing monthly.

Open API keys, choose Create key, and name it CTRON Loop.

Copy the key immediately. The Console shows it once and will not show it again.

In CTRON Loop, open Settings, then Providers. Paste the key and choose Save and test.

Can I use my Claude subscription?
A Claude Pro or Max subscription does not include API access. The Console is a separate account with its own prepaid credit, and cancelling one has no effect on the other.
Do I need a Anthropic API key to use CTRON Loop?
No. Every plan includes managed AI within its limits, so you can start straight away. Connect your own key when you want direct control over models, usage and cost. Your workflows stay the same either way.
Who bills me for Claude usage?
With your own key, usage is billed by Anthropic to your account, never by CTRON Loop. Your CTRON Loop plan covers the product itself.
Is my spreadsheet sent to Claude?
Dashboard figures are calculated from your file by CTRON Loop's own engine. When you ask a question about a dashboard, only the calculated totals on screen are sent to the model, never the rows. Document tasks send the document text the task needs.
Claude is a product of Anthropic. CTRON Loop is an independent product that connects to it with your own API key.
