Sign in to Google AI Studio with your Google account.

Open the plan page and add a payment method. Without one a key is rate limited to a small allowance, which a long document will exhaust part way through.

Open Get API key, choose Create key, and name it CTRON Loop.

Copy the key. AI Studio will show it again later, but treat it as a secret either way.

In CTRON Loop, open Settings, then Providers. Paste the key and choose Save and test.

Can I use my Gemini subscription?
A Google One AI or Gemini app subscription does not include API access. Keys come from Google AI Studio, which is a separate account with its own billing.
Do I need a Google API key to use CTRON Loop?
No. Every plan includes managed AI within its limits, so you can start straight away. Connect your own key when you want direct control over models, usage and cost. Your workflows stay the same either way.
Who bills me for Gemini usage?
With your own key, usage is billed by Google to your account, never by CTRON Loop. Your CTRON Loop plan covers the product itself.
Is my spreadsheet sent to Gemini?
Dashboard figures are calculated from your file by CTRON Loop's own engine. When you ask a question about a dashboard, only the calculated totals on screen are sent to the model, never the rows. Document tasks send the document text the task needs.
Gemini is a product of Google. CTRON Loop is an independent product that connects to it with your own API key.
