Sign in to Perplexity and open the API portal from your account settings.

Add a payment method. Perplexity requires one on file before it will issue a key.

Add credit, then choose Generate API key.

Copy the key immediately.

In CTRON Loop, open Settings, then Providers. Paste the key and choose Save and test.

Do I need a Perplexity API key to use CTRON Loop?
No. Every plan includes managed AI within its limits, so you can start straight away. Connect your own key when you want direct control over models, usage and cost. Your workflows stay the same either way.
Who bills me for Perplexity usage?
With your own key, usage is billed by Perplexity to your account, never by CTRON Loop. Your CTRON Loop plan covers the product itself.
Is my spreadsheet sent to Perplexity?
Dashboard figures are calculated from your file by CTRON Loop's own engine. When you ask a question about a dashboard, only the calculated totals on screen are sent to the model, never the rows. Document tasks send the document text the task needs.
Perplexity is a product of Perplexity. CTRON Loop is an independent product that connects to it with your own API key.
